Kristine Chambers

Head Coach

Kristine founded Exceleration as a lifelong dream to bring more sport opportunities to the youth of East Vancouver. She competed Internationally as a Junior in Triathlon and boasts both gold and bronze medals at the 2004 and 2007 World Duathlon Championships. A graduate of Templeton Highschool (Exceleration's home base) she is committed and passionate about community involvement and inclusion.  Kristine has been coaching since 12 years old and holds a Bachelors degree in Human Kinetics, a Masters degree in Neuro Motor Psychology (Kinesiology-Coaching Science), and Certificate in Teaching Higher Education (UBC). Other roles she plays include National Youth Development Coordinator and Master Learning Facilitator for Triathlon Canada. She worked for two years with the International Triathlon Union (ITU) bringing triathlon to developing countries around the world.  Most importantly, she is passionate about sport, children, and using play to enhance life, learning, and health for people of all ages. Her most important role now is being Mom to young Timmy (and TBA in September!) "I love to see people smile when they are moving, free, and energetic as the human being was intended to be!  My favourite motto?  Right now it's simple: "kindness is the highest form of wisdom". Treat others the way you want to be treated. That rule is golden for a reason. I hope that regardless of any sport skill, every child who experiences Exceleration takes that value into the rest of their lives. Knowing that would be my Olympic gold medal!"
